The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) is inviting Filipinos in Ireland and other parts of the globe to the above-mentioned conference, which will be held at the Philippine International Convention center on 27-29 September 2011.
The global conference aims to highlight the achievements of overseas Filipinos and discuss possible areas on how they could be partners to the Philippine government in nation-building. It also seeks to create a network among leaders of the overseas Filipino community organizations and serve as launching venue for the Diaspora to Development Program of the CFO.
The conference is expected to gather approximately 700 participants from 40 countries who are previous Presidential awardess as well leaders and convenors of the US Pinoys for Good Governance (USP4GG) and National Federation of Filipino American Associations( NaFFAA) and other global Filipinos' network, migration related Philippine government agencies, local government units, civil society organizations, academe, private sector, and multi-lateral agencies.
The CFO is organizing the conference in cooperation with the NAFFAA and the USP4GG.
