Philippine Ambassador to Ireland Ariel Abadilla recently visited the headquarters of Mobile Travel Technologies (MTT) Limited, a leading mobile specialist for the travel industry located in Dublin’s Digital Hub (Ireland’s center of excellence for knowledge, innovation, and creativity).

The Ambassador and his party received a warm welcome from Founder and Executive Director Gerry Samuels and his colleagues and were briefed on their long-term plans in the Philippines.

Mr. Samuels told the Ambassador that the office MTT set up in Manila last February will become its base in the Asia Pacific region. Mr. Samuels said that they expect to expand fast in the Philippines due to the high growth potential of the industry. Mr. Samuels said that they have looked at other countries in Asia but were drawn to the Philippines due to the high-level of skills set of Filipino IT developers as well as their English language capability. He added that the Manila office is poised to engage in comprehensive mobile-related commerce, creating quality knowledge-based jobs. MTT’s clients include big airline, car rental companies and international hotel chains.
