AMBASSADOR ABADILLA CALLS ON MINISTER FOR HEALTH AND CHILDREN

Ambassador Ariel Y. Abadilla called on Minister for Health and Children Mary Harney on 2 November 2010 at her office in Leinster House in Dublin.  Ambassador Abadilla expressed thanks to Minister Harney for the role that she played, in various capacities, in getting Filipino nurses to come and work in Ireland. For her part, the Minister said that Ireland is honoured that the Philippine government has set up an Embassy in Ireland and cited the Filipino healthcare professionals for their significant contribution in the Irish healthcare sector. On a personal level, she spoke warmly of the care received by a close relative from a Filipino nurse some years ago.
